Overview
A Project Permit is required for the frequent moving or transport of vehicles, loads and/or non-conforming vehicle configurations (which may or may not be overweight and/or oversized) on County of Essex roadways pertaining to a specific project and/or to a specific site. A project permit is required to ensure the safe transportation of these vehicles while protecting the interests and safety of the public as well as the County’s roadways and infrastructure. Anyone wishing to operate or transport vehicles and loads on County of Essex owned roadways for the purpose of a specific project requires a permit issued from the County of Essex, Infrastructure Services Department. Project permits allows for the travel on County roads with varying product to a specific location (ie. Project).
Conditions contained on all permits must be strictly adhered to.
This permit may be terminated for breach of any condition and the permit holder may be subject to prosecution.
